Here's Lana Del Rey’s Signature Lip Combo – Straight From Her Go-To MUA

Etienne Ortega breaks down the products and technique, step-by-step.

We’ve all admired Lana Del Rey’s perfect pout and now we finally know how to recreate it. Etienne Ortega, the makeup artist of the Queen of Darkness, recently shared on TikTok the step-by-step details for achieving her 2024 Coachella look from earlier this year. From his precise liner technique to the exact gloss, Ortega broke down everything you need to know to get the same show-stopping glam the Grammy-nominated singer is known for.

Of course, Ortega uses his eponymous brand’s products. To start, the MUA preps the singer’s smile with “Blue Nectar” Lip Oil for hydration and softness. He then lightly powders the mouth, creating a smooth base. Next, using the “Soft Contour” Lip Liner in “Xola,” he uses his signature “Sacred Heart” technique: drawing a line down the center of the lips to accentuate the cupid’s bow, while gently feathering the color in on the outer edges. Using a fluffy blush brush, he softly diffuses the product. For a pop of color, Ortega applies the “Agave Glow” Color Stick in “Nubes” to the center of the artist’s pout, blending it out with the same brush. To add shine, the makeup artist taps the “Ethereal Glow” Balm in “Golden Hour” across the lips for a subtle shine, topped off with the “Liquid Icon” Hypergloss in “Por Vida” for that perfect, glossy LDR finish.
