Drake Has Entered the Beauty Chat With A "Carby Musk" Fragrance Oil

You can now smell just like Champagne Papi.

In case you missed it, Drake officially made his move into the beauty industry with a fragrance oil from his Better World Fragrance House brand. The rapper’s signature scent, dubbed “Carby Musk,” is a roll-on oil that’s said to embody a vibe of sophistication and refinement. The scent is a combination of lily of the valley, ambergris, oakmoss, skin musk and amber wood. It’s also the wearable version of the brand’s best-selling “Carby Musk” candle.

The fragrance is unique as the final dry-down scent is completely personalized to the wearer. The perfume’s formula is made up of 13 musk ingredients, 12 of which are blended in the liquid and the thirteenth comes from the wearer’s body chemistry. Thus, “creating an unparalleled and deeply personal scent experience, unique to each individual’s musk,” the brand explained in a press release.

The “Nice for What” rapper collaborated with renowned perfumer Michael Carby and Givaudan, a global fragrance manufacturer to create the roll-on. Per the company, “Drake’s relationship to scent is deeply personal,” as he’s spent years working with his team to purposefully craft scents that will help curate one’s space. The result? The brand’s initial five bespoke candle scents that are all based on Drake’s personal memories.

The fragrance oil is described by the brand as a “more potent [and] concentrated version of a fragrance spray, [thus] lasting longer on the skin.”

The “Carby Musk” oil can be purchased on the brand’s website, priced at $195 USD. Better World Fragrance House’s signature candles can be found in Ulta Beauty stores across the U.S., as well as Harrods in the U.K..
