Acne Studios Taps K-pop Group ILLIT as New Campaign Stars

K-pop and fashion continue to collide.

The relationship between K-pop and fashion continues to blossom and grow, as Acne Studios just became the latest label to team up with a rising group. Enlisting girl group ILLIT to star in its new Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, the joint venture comes as the group gear up to release their long-awaited debut album later this month.

Consisting of five members: Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha, ILLIT sits under HYBE LABELS and BELIFT LAB. The campaign comes shortly after the group attended Acne Studios’ recent Fall/Winter 2024 runway show and marks the start of a new relationship which will see ILLIT dressed in the brand for major performances and events.

“Music is a big part of my life and often inspires me; music and fashion are so intertwined. Right now, it is all about K-Pop. We loved the idea of working with a band from the start of their career and growing with them. We have always supported and championed up-and-coming talents, so this felt like the right way to go about it for a new generation,” says Jonny Johansson, Creative Director at Acne Studios.

Lensed by Charlotte Wales in London, the pastel-hued campaign showcases ILLIT in new season accessories and ready-to-wear, including denim silhouettes and the Multipocket bag.

“It is such an honor to be able to work with a global fashion house like Acne Studios even before our official debut. The shoot in London was our first group trip to Europe, which felt like a dream. We had so much fun discovering new places. We’re very excited to see how the campaign will be received, and we hope our chemistry will highlight the best sides of both ILLIT and Acne Studios,” adds ILLIT through BELIFT LAB.

Take a look at the full campaign above and head to the Acne Studios website for more information.
