Axel Arigato Debuts the New Onyx Sneaker

With a campaign featuring ‘Bottoms’ star Havanna Rose Liu.

Axel Arigato just unveiled the latest addition to its sneaker repertoire, launching through a new campaign starring Bottoms actor Havanna Rose Liu. The new sneaker, dubbed the Onyx, lands in both men’s and women’s ranges and takes inspiration from retro basketball silhouettes from the ’80s and ’90s.

Celebrating the release is a new campaign lensed by New York native Tyrell Hampton, which coincides with the upcoming opening of Axel Arigato’s first-ever US store in NYC this summer. The campaign sees Liu depicting the vibrant spirit of the city, taking to the streets of Manhattan to introduce the silhouette.

Designed with shapes and structures aligning with basketball and hip-hop culture, the new sneaker boasts a wide profile and chunky sole and is crafted from a soft, premium leather that’s fused with hits of mesh, lycra and polyester. Arriving in four core colorways, the Onyx is available in unisex hues of “White/Beige” and “White/Green” alongside a women’s “White/Pink” iteration and “White/Maroon” for men.

Take a closer look at the new silhouette above, set to land via Axel Arigato on March 15 at a price of £255 GBP/ $365 USD.
