Ah a new TikTok trend has entered the chat. Introducing, auramaxxxing, a lifestyle trend that sounds healthy but has already reached toxic territory in love and dating.

If you’re unfamiliar, auramaxxxing refers to “maximizing your aura.” Each of your day-to-day behaviors either increases or drops your “aura points.” Similar to the rise and fall of dating apps, the lifestyle hack quickly turned into a game for TikTok users.

The problem? Guys on the app went from auramaxxxing as self-care to rebranding misogyny. Now, simple acts like “mouth-breathing” drop your aura by 80 points. Of course, leading creators in this realm refer to women as “females,” a tell-tale sign you’re dealing with a misogynist. Not only are their self-care routines questionable, but its extending to their treatment of women.

To be frank, five minutes of scrolling on “auramaxxxing” gives the same energy as Euphoria‘s Cassie waking up at 4am to do an insane beauty regimen.

Unfortunately, the trend has made its way to the sex and dating space with incels feeling rather seen by the movement — as if that wasn’t alarming enough. Here, guys are shaming themselves for “talking to someone with a double chin” which results in lost “aura points.” The content is so questionable we’re still wondering if it’s a parody.

But, it raises an interesting question: How the f-ck did a man’s journey of self-care bring us to shaming women?
