Hypebeast and Ray-Ban Dropped a Glossy New It-Accessory

With a limited-edition run of the Mega Balorama shades to honor 20 years of Hypebeast.

High shine and high octane, these are the sharp new shades you need. To celebrate Hypebeast’s 20th anniversary, eyewear brand Ray-Ban released 100 special edition Mega Balorama sunglasses, and they’re not subtle.

With Hypebeast following Ray-Ban’s moves over the years, including the announcement of A$AP Rocky as the debut creative director, the collaboration is the result of a close bond between the brand and platform, blending streetwear with technical expertise.

The ultimate balance of sporty and chic, the revival of this silhouette includes a sleek silvery makeover to honor the anniversary’s Platinum theme. A gray propionate makes up the frames to create a translucent effect, accompanied by mirrored lenses and Hypebeast’s logo on the temple. If that wasn’t enough shine for you, the finishing touch includes silver co-branded packaging.

Not only do these block out the rays, but they also provide a whole new level of edge to any fit, whether that’s going on a run or for a coffee with the girls. With silver currently dominating the fashion world in jewelry, accessories, homeware and sneakers, eyewear was bound to be next on the list. Pair these with stacked chrome earrings and a slick-back hairstyle for full impact.

Head to HBX to get your hands on a pair of the Hypebeast x Ray-Ban 20th Anniversary Mega Balorama sunglasses.
