Balmain Presents Its Pre-Spring 2026 Collection

In the year of Maison Balmain’s 80th anniversary,

In celebration of the house’s 80 year anniversary, Balmain presents its Pre-Spring 2026 collection,

Inspired by Pierre Balmain’s vision, creative director Olivier Rousteing used this collection to reflect on the fashion house’s past, progress, heritage and evolution. Despite existing in two different eras, the Pre-Spring collection features “a continuity that anchors the House’s longevity and its ability to capture the spirit of the present while anticipating the future,” the press release stated.

Channeling the essence of each Balmain era, Rousteing blends his bold power dressing with the fashion house’s sophisticated vision. The result? “A wardrobe that weaves the founder’s architectural tailoring with a newfound desire for lightness and fluidity — for a woman who sheds her armor to embrace freedom and rediscover her sensuality. This tension unfolds in contrasts, in reimagined codes, in the creative spark where Pierre Balmain’s timeless signatures meet Olivier Rousteing’s modern rhythm.”

In essence, it’s for the woman who finds a certain “joie de vivre in her clothes, wearing garments that inspire her self-expression, changing in form but never in essence.” This season’s designs lend a new iteration for her to dance within.

Lovers of Balmain’s accessories can enjoy a range of iconic bags that echo the house’s best moments.
“The Sync evokes the maxi chains introduced in the 1940s” while “the Shuffle’s belted shape nods to the 1950s’ hourglass silhouettes.” Elsewhere, the Ébène exudes wild beauty, recalling Monsieur Balmain’s journeys to Africa and his eponymous 1980s fragrance.”
