FOLM, LA's First Cycle-Syncing Wellness Studio Is Here

Built around your hormonal rhythms, this one is for the girls.

Meet LA’s newest opening: a cycle-syncing wellness studio. Named FOLM (short for Follicular, Ovulation, Luteal, Menstrual), the studio is built entirely around your hormonal rhythms. If that hasn’t already convinced you, it’s backed by a star-studded team with actress Alexa Demie as one of the founding members, visual direction by artist and director Petra Collins, and a highly qualified team of OB-GYNs, making the studio a rare convergence of expertise and aesthetics.

Creating something that not only looks good but feels good too was central to the founders, Anna Collins and Cindy Gomez. The dedicated studios create customised experiences that depend on your cycle and energy levels. Anything from a gentle sculpt and flow class for the more sluggish days to more intense dynamic resistance training for those welcomed energetic days, there’s something for every day and every mood of the month. As stated in the press release, “You’re not just moving, you’re moving in sync.”

This new era of wellness is backed by science with a community-centred ethos for women only. Positioning itself as the next It-girl destination, some of the highlights include a Barre and Pilates fusion to lift low-energy days, or high-intensity reformer for follicular and ovulation days.

Officially opening on August 1, FOLM will also host four days of free classes from July 21st to 24th to introduce the studio to its new neighbourhood in Melrose Hill. So if you’re nearby, head down for a workout perfectly matched to you.
