The Best Beauty Salons and Spas in London for All Your Treatment Needs

Tried and tested by the Hypebae team.

Finding the right beauty salons for hair, skin and nail treatments can be an arduous task for several reasons. There’s a huge level of trust involved in trying somewhere new, and more often than not, the buzziest spots can be booked up for months in advance. What’s more, much like restaurants and bars, the majority of popular parlors have specialties or treatments that they’re known for, and it’s hard to know which spot is the best for what.

But that’s where we come in. Whether it’s chrome nail art and hydra-facials or brow-bleaching and ear piercing that you’re after, there’s likely to be a place in (or near) London that does it best. To help you make the right decision, we’ve rounded up our favorite tried-and-tested locations for all your treatment needs, whatever the occasion.

Scroll down to find out more about our favorite beauty spots across the city.

Easily the most aesthetically pleasing salon in all the land, Crab Salad has not one, but two locations in London, each with their own distinctive color scheme. North London’s Highbury boasts a vibrant shade of mint green, while the South East London salon in Peckham keeps it pretty in pink. Complete with high-quality colorists and hair experts, the salon is the perfect place for all of your hair transformations.

Pomme Pe’Dour

One of West London’s coolest nail salons, Pomme Pe’Dour offers a wide array of nail treatments, including acrylics and manicures. Its signature treatment, however, is nail art, offering a varied selection of vibrant designs, from flames and chrome to 3D gel and gems. It’s undoubtedly the place to visit before special occasions.

Aire Ancient Baths

For a stress-releasing pick-me-up or romantic experience, look no further. The underground oasis that is Aire Ancient Baths offers a range of relaxing experiences, including ice baths, thermal baths and massage treatments. Alongside its London location, the baths are available to visit in Copenhagen, Spain and the United States.

SHAG! is an exciting ‘concept salon’ with studios in both West and East London. It offers a B Corp product range paired with a sustainable ethos and a community-driven mentality that can be felt upon entering. Owners Joe and April have over 20 years of experience between them and are creatives at heart, which you can tell by the eclectic decor, featuring boob mugs and a bright pink coffee machine. If you’re lucky, you might even get to meet April’s little chihuahua pups.

Studio Studios is the Shoreditch-based hair salon behind the locks of Gabriette, Lola Young, Arlo Parks and many more cool girls. Founded by Jadah Dale, the space has recently expanded with a striking new sister studio next door (so no more stress to get yourself a booking). Dale had a clear vision upon launching in 2023, an independent, queer-owned space where community matters just as much as the look. The space feels less like a salon and more like a living room with vintage armchairs, burning candles and antique-looking doors that open onto a courtyard. This is a welcome home for your hair.
