Jonny Johansson showcases exquisite tailoring on the runway.
After showcasing an intricate menswear collection in Pairs last week, Swedish label Acne Studios brought its famous elevated Scandinavian aesthetic to Haute Couture week. Designer and founder Jonny Johansson made the decision to move the show to Haute Couture week to minimalize the time between the mens and womenswear shows, cutting it down to a few days rather than a number of weeks. “It’s quite a bold decision from a business perspective, but from a life perspective, it’s an important choice. I love fashion, but I can’t keep up with these long, long, long seasons,” Johansson told Vogue.
The collection itself showcased the exquisite tailoring and aesthetic that the brand is known for, emphasizing tailored coats in a wide range of earthy tones, as well as a balance of textures like leather, fur and knit. As for footwear, we saw sleek leather boots in hues of purple, beige and black, and a new sneaker silhouette making an appearance in several iterations.
