Your First Look at J.W.Anderson x Uniqlo's Spring/Summer 2018 Collection
Seaside cool inspired by the U.K.’s Brighton Pier.
Following a hugely successful first collaboration, Japanese brand Uniqlo has teamed up with J.W.Anderson once again for a Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
Shot against Britain’s scenic Brighton Pier, the first campaign images offers a sneak peek at the upcoming range, which is inspired by the famed beach. Capturing the essence of the 1950s, a time when the Brighton Beach was one of tourists’ favorite summer getaways, the line is made up of a huge selection of unisex, British classics that fuse style and functionality. Among the mix we see striped tees and button-up shirts, a colorblock windbreaker, a romantic tartan skirt, a denim jacket as well as matching bucket hats.
Designer Jonathan Anderson speaks of the partnership in a press release,
“In the second collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of ‘British Summer,’ the idea of being on Brighton beach. Something which is very lightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen, and cotton that has a 1950’s subcultural movement. With a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential.”
The collection is set to arrive at uniqlo.com on April 19 at 9 p.m. EST, and in-store at Uniqlo locations beginning April 20. In the meantime, browse the gallery above to have your first look at the range.
