Nike's New Air Force 1 High "Nai Ke" Shows off Holographic Details
Inspired by Shanghai’s The Bund.
Paying homage to Shanghai’s The Bund, a stunning vista situated along central Shanghai’s waterfront area, Nike has unveiled its latest Air Force 1 High ”Nai Ke.” The model first debuted in 2015, highlighting the brand’s name re-envisioned in the Chinese language’s form of “pinyin” translation. For this new iteration, the body is largely constructed with various textures of luxe white leather. To contrast the clean look, head-turning holographic details are used throughout. In addition to the large, iridescent Swoosh splashed across the side panel, the shimmering material is also used for the VELCRO® strap fastened around the ankle.
Additional elements include tan leather accents on the tongue tag and heel tab, both of which highlight the “Nai Ke” characters in Chinese. Color-matching shoelace plates with AF-1 branding are also added to each foot. Rounding off the look is a crisp, white midsole.
For the time being, details are still sparse regarding whether this model will be exclusive to China, as it was with previous “Nai Ke” drops. However, stay posted here as we find out more.
