We're Really Into Stylist Rox Brown's New Nike Air Jordan 1
Featuring a bold rose accent.
Nike has been serving up quite a few female-designed sneakers this year. The highly anticipated drops created exclusively for women have been spearheaded by Yoon Ahn and Aleali May. Now, the sportswear brand has unveiled a forthcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG collaboration designed by stylist and brand consultant Rox Brown.
Brown flaunts over 90,000 followers on Instagram and is known for her eccentric personal style. She got her start in the fashion industry by working retail at SoHo’s Billionaire Boys Club boutique years ago which later led to a role at VFILES in 2013. In a feature with Elle, she shared that she literally walked into the store with no resume and left with a job. During her time at VFILES, she held the title director of VIP services.
The forthcoming design features an all-black upper paired with a satin underlays and reflective overlays. Additionally, we also spot large roses on the heel portion and a small rose on the tongue tag. Accents are rounded out by the black midsole and light blue outsole.
The Rox Brown-designed Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in “Black/Metallic Gold” is slated to have a limited release on December 12 at select Nike stockists. Stay tuned here as official details emerge.
