Nike Celebrates Air Max Day with Artists John Yuyi and Lauren Tsai
All about the Swoosh.
Sportswear giant Nike has tapped artists John Yuyi and Lauren Tsai for its latest campaign, celebrating the label’s highly anticipated Air Max Day with unique interpretations of the famous footwear silhouettes. Yuyi, known for her “Gucci Meme” campaign as well as her recent editorial with KARA, takes the Swoosh to a new level, turning her eyebrows into the brand’s iconic logo as well as covering her body with a selection of Air Max logos. Tsai shows off her impeccable painting skill, re-imagining a shoe in her signature aesthetic – all while sporting the new Air Max 270 silhouette in a crisp, white hue.
Nike recently became the world’s most valuable apparel brand, and Air Max Day arrives as the perfect celebration of the newly achieved status. Take a look at the campaign videos below, and see more of John Yuyi’s Air Max-inspired artwork in the gallery above.
