Canada Goose Debuts "The Bravest Coat" Collaboration With the FDNY Foundation
Representing five different NYC-based firehouses.
Canada Goose reveals its latest collaboration with the FDNY Foundation which pays homage to the first responders who wear functional designs on a daily basis. The range titled “The Bravest Coat” is inspired by the tactical, protective jackets worn by the men and women of the FDNY. The coats represent five different local firehouses handpicked by the FDNY Foundation and are designed by the men and women who work there. New York City was the first U.S. location of the Canadian brand, which was founded nearly 60 years ago in Toronto.
Fireman-inspired jackets appeared on the Fall/Winter 2018 runways at Calvin Klein, UNDERCOVER and even Louis Vuitton. The style is rising due to its ability to be worn to as a streetwear piece while simultaneously battling harsh outdoor elements. The FDNY x Canada Goose winter-wear staple is an on-trend design which includes silver toggles, reflective detailing and co-branded logos. All proceeds from the coat will directly benefit the FDNY Foundation which supports initiatives like fire safety education, training programs and equipment needs.
Purchase “The Bravest Coat” over at Canada Goose’s retail locations in New York City, Toronto, London and Tokyo and on canadagoose.com on April 6 where it prices out at $695 USD.
