Here's Your First Look at Nike's Women's-Only Customizable Air Max 1

How will you wear yours?

The art of customizing sneakers has been around pretty much as long as sneakers themselves – they provide the perfect canvas for self-expression. Now, you can finally put the sharpies down and make your footwear individual in a new, less permanent way thanks to Nike‘s customizable Air Max 1.

Although Nike had already debuted some versatile, removable options with the Air Force 1 “Swoosh” pack, this Air Max 1, which was first unveiled during the sportswear giant’s Unlaced launch event in Paris takes it to another level. The silhouette itself remains largely unchanged from the original – the crisp white textured leather upper is complemented by tonal details throughout – including on the Swoosh branding and midsole – completing the monochrome look. The shoes come with a range of interchangeable branded and themed patches and and VELCRO® panels sit upon the tongue and heel, so you can rework the shoes according to your personal taste and mood and switch up the style in an instant.

There’s no further info on pricing or a release date at the moment but these customizable, women’s-exclusive Air Max 1s are slated to drop at Nike.com in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates and why not check out the upcoming Nike M2k Tekno while you wait?
