IL MAKIAGE was founded in 2013 by a brother-sister duo that was determined to bring professional makeup products to everyday women. Earlier this month, the first full collection launched stateside so I got a chance to figure out what all the hype was about. Each item from the line was clearly carefully thought out and well made. The packaging is luxe which makes it feel like a treat whenever you apply. It was difficult to do but I selected the top three products from the range that I’ve now incorporated into my everyday regimen.
At the top of my list is the Hypnotize brow shaper. I have tried almost every eyebrow mascara on the market with little success. This item has a pigmented but lightweight formula that provides a long-lasting tint throughout the day. I picked up the shade “Truffles” and was pleased by how much it matched my off-black eyebrows. For the first time, I was able to leave my home without spending time filling in sparse areas with a pencil. If loving this product makes me “high maintenance” so be it.
