Yayoi Kusama's 'Narcissus Garden' Will Be Displayed This Summer

The installation lands in New York.

Yayoi Kusama‘s Narcissus Garden installation will be show in New York next month. As a part of MoMA PS1‘s Rockaway! arts festival, the Japanese artist will be presenting an updated iteration of the exhibit which is made up of 1,500 stainless steel balls.

Queens’ Fort Tilden, a former Army base, will serve as the setting for the art installation. MoMA PS1 director Klaus Biesenbach has been working with Kusama to get the location right for what’s to come. “It will look very, very different from before,” he comments.

The Narcissus Garden installation will open on July 1 and be on display until September 3. Mark your calendars for its launch.
