Billie Eilish Drops an Emotional Music Video for "Hostage"
Chills all over.
Sixteen-year-old Billie Eilish has made a huge name for herself in the music industry, dropping her debut album don’t smile at me in 2017, and recently collaborated with Khalid on her single “Lovely.” Now, the young singer has just released a music video for her track “Hostage,” and it is beyond emotional.
The song depicts Billie Eilish’s deep love for her significant other, using the metaphor of a “hostage” that she wants to keep to herself. The video depicts their love as intense and obsessive, and captures the whirlwind of emotions that go into a relationship. “And let me crawl inside your veins, I’ll build a wall, give you a ball and chain / It’s not like me to be so mean / You’re all I wanted, just let me hold you – Like a hostage,” she sings, in the chilling and minimal video directed with Henry Scholfield.
