GANNI Is Teaming up With Diemme on the Chicest Hiking Boots & Sneakers

GANNI, the brand beloved by Denmark‘s coolest girls and adopted by stylish ladies worldwide has just revealed a new collaboration ahead of its Spring/Summer 2019 runway show during Copenhagen Fashion Week. First spotted on the runway last season, we’re now granted an up-close look at the brand’s collaboration with Diemme.
The capsule collection fuses together the heritage and craftsmanship of Italian footwear brand Diemme, run by the Signor brothers for the past 25 years, with GANNI’s personal aura of contemporary cool. It comprises of two boots and sneaker silhouettes, in two colorways – a light tan “Hazelenut” and grey and white option. The high-top boot takes on a bulky shape, matched by its mixed-material upper which is complemented by hiking-inspired laces and metal eyelets and the sneakers feature a similar shape but with a sleeker, low-top approach. Each shoe is balanced on chunky, Vibram soles that are both practical and stylish. Discussing the partnership, which is Diemme’s first women’s ready-to-wear collaboration Ditte Reffstrup, creative director at GANNI stated:
“I really enjoy working with people that bring different things to the table. The Signors bring so much
knowledge and craftsmanship into what they do. GANNI brought a fresh and modern twist to these
amazing traditional pieces. I love that we used the old brand slogan from Diemme on the shoes soles -
‘Life is now’ It rings more true now than ever.”
