Depop Teams Up With Amelia Dimoldenberg to Celebrate the Finale of 'Chicken Shop Date'
Bringing fans closer to the hosts’ signature style in a fitting send-off.
After more than a decade of awkward flirting, deadpan humor and celebrity interviews served with a side of fried chicken, Chicken Shop Date is preparing to say goodbye. Created and hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg, the wildly popular YouTube series sees the presenter take A-list guests on deliberately uncomfortable dates at local chicken shops, turning the traditional celebrity interview on its head. Now, as the show wraps up its final series, Dimoldenberg is teaming up with Depop to give fans one last chance to get closer to its world… through fashion.
The partnership introduces a series of shoppable “Chicken Shop Date Edits,” curated by Dimoldenberg and her stylist Chloe Griffin. Inspired by the host’s signature looks and some of her celebrity guests’ most memorable outfits (remember …), each edit brings together secondhand finds from independent Depop sellers, with new selections accompanying episodes of the final series.
There’s more, too. On November 12, the presenter will launch an exclusive “Shop Drop” featuring pieces from her own wardrobe, including iconic looks worn throughout the show. She’ll also wear exclusively Depop-sourced outfits in the fifth episode and at a special New York cinema premiere to celebrate the finale.
“Getting dressed for a date is part of the fun, especially if you’re meeting at a chicken shop,” shared Dimoldenberg. “What I wear has always been integral to the persona I take on as host. Looking back on the past 12 years of Chicken Shop Date, it’s been fun to see how my personal style has evolved over time.”
A fitting send-off for a show that’s made great outfits and awkward flirting its signature. Head to the Depop website to keep an eye out for the official drop.
