JW Anderson Unveils a Special Edition Capsule With Net-a-Porter
Available directly after the fashion house’s SS19 show.
JW Anderson and Net-A-Porter have officially announced the launch of their collaborative capsule collection. The range features clothing, ready-to wear clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. The pieces are inspired by British aestheticism, a mid-19th century art and intellectual movement. The aforementioned historic time period was marked by the poignant quote: “Art for art’s sake.”
Significant highlights in the collection include a cream logo T-shirt, a chic, plaid two-piece suit and an array of colorful leather handbags. The capsule focuses on Anderson’s ideas of “graceful modernity and femininity.” Notably, Anderson’s designs are aesthetically pleasing which parallels with the age of aestheticism since it provoked tremendous changes in self-expression and freedom in Great Britain. Additional nods to the British movement includes the flowing, fluid and draped silhouettes in the range.
