Nike's "Tartan Pack" Is Full of Statement-Making Sneakers
Your new Fall favorites.
Hot on the heels of Blazer Mid Rebel, Nike has shared release details for another ladies-only exclusive – and this time, the sneakers come in an truly unmissable finish. Aptly dubbed the “Tartan Pack,” it comprises of the Air Max Plus, Air Max 97 and Air Max 1 silhouettes, each updated with its own version of the iconic Scottish fabric.
The Air Max Plus features traditional Royal Stewart red tartan across the upper, contrasted by the signature, exo-skeleton style detailing in black. Black laces and branding on the tongue round out the bold look, as does the dark and futuristic Air Max Plus midsole. The Air Max 97 takes on the same fabric, but with a hit of yellow tartan on the sidewall, surrounding the mini Swoosh. The trademarked wavy details snake across the lateral side in black and the look is completed by visible Air Max cushioning in the sole unit. Last up is the Air Max 1, which boasts yellow plaid upon the midfoot, whilst black suede wraps around the remainder of the sneaker, including on the tonal Swoosh. Red plaid sits on the heel collar, contrasting the rest of the upper and a crisp, white midsole providing the finishing touch.
These women’s sneakers are set to drop on September 13 on Nike SNKRS, with prices ranging between $140-$180 USD. For a sleeker look, why not check out this golden Nike Cortez?
