Sean Wotherspoon Teases New Nike Air Max 1/97 Colorway
We need a release date ASAP.
Earlier this year Sean Wotherspoon revealed alternative colorways of his popular Nike Air Max 1/97. The duo was constructed from various shades of corduroy with his signature Smiley-face footbed. Wotherspoon has recently posted a closer look at the samples he’s been working on.
The new iterations are accented with yellow tones on the tongue tag, midsole and outsole. In the Instagram caption he shares his plan to further alter the pack:
“First peek at the second wave! Still early on the sample process, and there’s a lot that’s going to change! I’m thinking add some color to the sole, make that air bubble infrared, gotta change the sock liner to yellow, maybe a new color insole?!, fix the denim on the tabs, and do a gradient from light to dark blue instead of all light blue?!? What new patches should I include with this pair?! I couldn’t be happier holding these babies in my hand, can’t wait to see the final sample! So much more dope Nike sh*t to talk about, can’t wait to tell everyone!”
Nike has yet to confirm the release of a follow-up pack but fans are eager for it. Take a closer look at the samples above and leave your thoughts below.
