Ariana Grande Cancels Grammy Performance After Being "Insulted" by Show Producers
The “7 Rings” songstress reportedly won’t be attending the ceremony either.
According to a Variety report, Ariana Grande has decided to cancel her upcoming performance at the 2019 Grammy Awards. The decision was made due to disagreements with the show producers who refused to let her perform her recent single “7 Rings.” Variety reports that Grande felt “insulted” by the show runners who wanted to choose the songs she performed in the set. Though the two settled on having parts of the “7 Rings” melody appear in the show, Grande allegedly pulled out of the performance all together after learning that other artists did not have such creative stipulations placed on them.
It is also assumed that Grande will not be attending the award show ceremony where she is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance (“God Is a Woman”) and Best Pop Vocal Album (Sweetener). Stay tuned for developments ahead of the February 10 show.
