Gucci Is Now the World's Top Luxury Brand, Beating Off-White™
Find out why.
Gucci has taken the top slot as the world’s most-searched fashion brand of-the-moment. According to Lyst‘s Q4 Index, in the closing quarter of 2018, the Italian fashion house reigned supreme. From October to December over six-million shoppers searched for a Gucci bag, belt or shoe. To be more clear, the biggest accessories of this time period, were the brand’s Soho Disco bag and logo belt.
Following closely behind Gucci are Off-White™, Balenciaga and Moncler. Virgil Abloh’s fashion label took the second slot, partially due to the Nike’s “The Ten” series. This collaboration was the most popular sneaker collab of 2018. Balenciaga’s Michelle Obama co-sign at the end of last year featured the former first lady in a pair of golden thigh-high boots, resulting in a viral moment.
Unsurprisingly, Moncler has climbed to the fourth slot thanks to the Moncler Genius project. Additionally, the label also rolled out a popular Poldo Dog Couture collection, which trended on social media, according to Lyst. Notably, the fourth most popular women’s product was the Moncler Genius 3 Grenoble Vonne ski jacket.
