Kim Kardashian Has Filed a $10 Million USD Lawsuit Against Missguided

Alleging the platform stole numerous designs and her likeness.

Kim Kardashian has officially filed a lawsuit which alleges that global fast fashion company Missguided stole a dress design. According to The Verge, Kim claims that the company’s Instagram tags and posts have relied on her personal style.

Shoppers of Missguided are familiar with the site for providing affordable, trend-driven options. The current lawsuit alleges that the platform illegally used, “her persona and trademarks” to sell replicated looks. At the moment, the mogul is seeking at least $10 million USD in retribution in addition to requesting that Missguided discontinues using her likeness. One of the looks, in question, is a metallic gold dress which she shared via Instagram earlier this month.

E! News reports that the lawsuit features images from Missguided’s website and Instagram. At the moment, the brand’s Instagram post featuring the aforementioned piece Kim shared days ago has been deleted off the platform.

Kim took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the debacle:

“It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas. I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent.”

Stay tuned here as additional details become available.
