Livestream: Daniel Lee Makes Official Debut at Bottega Veneta With FW19 Runway Show
Live from Milan Fashion Week.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated runway shows at Milan Fashion Week this season, Bottega Veneta‘s Fall/Winter 2019 catwalk will mark Daniel Lee‘s official debut at the Italian fashion house.
Back in June, 2018, the British designer and Central Saint Martins graduate was announced as the new Creative Director of the storied brand, succeeding Tomas Maier who spent 17 long years at Bottega.
Since his appointment, Lee has been quietly shaking things up at the label best known for its meticulously crafted leather bags and accessories. In January, he unveiled an understatedly chic Spring/Summer 2019 campaign lensed by photographer Tyrone Lebon. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Neapolitan island of Ischia, the imagery sees models Kaya Wilkins and Saskia De Brauw donning minimalist yet luxurious silhouettes like basketball shorts and trench coats made out of black leather.
As the former Director of Ready-to-Wear at Philo-era Céline, Lee has showcased his talent in the handbag area by launching two new styles for Bottega Veneta. Earlier in February, the designer debuted the Pouch, an oversized clutch, as well as the Maxi Cabat, a modern-looking shopper tote that reimagines the brand’s signature Cabat. Both styles are now available for purchase online.
Tune in at 11:30 a.m. CET/5 a.m. EST on Friday, February 22 to watch the livestream of Bottega Veneta’s FW19 runway show.
