The Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" Arrives as a Women's Exclusive Low Slip NRG
A must-have for sneakerheads.
It’s no question that the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” is perhaps one of the most iconic sneakers in history. Now, putting its own modern spin on the OG model, Jordan Brand has completely reworked the classic into an all-new women’s exclusive offering. Introducing the AJ1 Low Slip NRG “Chicago,” the latest release retains all of the original’s most recognizable features, but also modifies it in a very distinct way.
The most obvious change, of course, is that the sneaker is now a low-top. In place of the sneaker’s unmistakable black laces that run up the high-top eyelets, this latest model instead goes laceless and installs an extended black and white information label. A large black button is also placed at the top of the eyelet section to create an additional touch of detail.
Another accent that is not seen in the original is a small white Swoosh that appears just below the toe box on the lateral side panel, sitting just above the crisp white midsole. However, the rest of the shoe remains largely the same – the black, white and red colorway is as recognizable as ever, with a vibrant red outsole rounding off the look.
