A Closer look at Dior's Pre-Fall 2019 Collection

A clothing, footwear and accessory extravaganza.

Dior‘s highly anticipated Pre-Fall 2019 collection is finally available to buy after months of waiting, and the Kim Jones-designed range features collaborations with ALYX‘s Matthew Williams, AMBUSH‘s Yoon and of course, Hajime Sorayama.

The collection takes inspiration from the Japanese artist’s signature “Sexy Robot” motifs, featuring graphics and prints on both apparel and accessories. Dior’s signature Oblique monogram pattern is also present, arriving in both the popular B23 sneaker silhouette as well as on T-shirts, bags and other chic pieces. We’re also seeing Kim Jones’ take on the house’s signature Dior Saddle Bag, which has gotten an elevated upgrade as well as multiple new interpretations.

Stand-out items from the range include the Yoon-designed android-inspired jewelry, which has given the Dior logo a futuristic update. Featuring both rings, broches and key rings, the collection also sees KAWS‘ bee motif present throughout. As for belts and hardware, Matthew Williams’ rollercoaster buckle is visible throughout several pieces in the collection. Last but not least, the 5-meter tall Hajime Sorayama robot statue that was seen at the show in Tokyo last year is also on full display, capturing the essence of the bold collection.

The Pre-Fall 2019 range is now available at Dior’s web store, as well as at Dior boutiques world-wide. The collection will be rolling out within the upcoming weeks, and make sure to catch it above to get an exclusive look at the extravagant pieces.
