FKA twigs Is Finally Back With Her New Single "Cellophane"
The singer reveals a music video alongside the track.
FKA twigs is back after her four-year hiatus. The singer finally unveils her newest single “Cellophane” alongside a striking music video conceptualized by the artist and director Andrew Thomas Huang.
In the visual, she pole dances expertly as vivid graphics appear near her. The clip also is packed with nods to dreamlike futurism. She dons head-turning pieces as she dances, falls dramatically and continues to sing. When she finally falls into sand, creatures appear near her and wipe her body into a red claylike material suggesting a rebirth of some sort.
Today she shared on Instagram that she wrote “Cellophane” a year ago. In the caption she wrote:
“when I wrote cellophane over a year ago a visual narrative came to me immediately, I knew I had to learn how to pole-dance to bring it to life, and so that’s what I did. thank you @andrewthomashuang, for elevating my vision beyond words. you are a visionary. @kelyvon thank you for being with me every step of the way on my precious pole yellow brick road. working with you both on this is a dream come true.”
