Herbivore's Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish Is My Secret for Smooth, Summer Skin
You’re welcome.
With summer in full swing and temperatures in many places soaring, getting smooth and moisturised skin has become a priority for me. While I’ve tried out many body scrubs in this quest, I found that most left me with the same issue – skin that felt way too dry. Intrigued initially by the crystal-based formula of this product, as well as its sleek violet coloring, I was spurred to give Herbivore‘s Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish a try.
The product has a traditionally salty, scrub-like texture and a fresh Jasmine scent and one small scoop is really all you need. I used it mostly on areas I wanted to focus on like my legs, knees and elbows although Herbivore suggest you use it on problem areas that carry stress, like your hips too. It comprises of crushed amethyst crystals mixed with Epsom salt and sugar, adding to the grainy texture that I used in circular motions to buff over my skin. It felt effective, like my skin was being smoothed and polished with every move but importantly, it didn’t feel harsh like some other scrubs can. This is likely organic virgin coconut oil and organic shea butter in the product that ensure you skin is moisturised whilst being exfoliated too.
The main noticeable difference for me was after rinsing off, when my skin immediately felt smooth, glowy and hydrated, like I’d added on some additional oil or moisturiser when in fact it’s probably the Meadowfoam Seed Oil that’s built into this magic formula. Due to the crystal healing properties, Herbivore recommends using this in the bath, where the surrounding bathwater can help the rest of your skin really soak up the benefits and the ingredients can work their calming properties too.
You can shop Herbivore’s Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish from retailers like Liberty London for £38 GBP (approx. $48 USD). In related news, have you tried the brand’s Emerald Oil?
