Shay Mitchell Announces Pregnancy With Baby Bump Instagram
The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress is becoming a mother.
Congratulations are in order for Shay Mitchell and her partner Matte Babel. On Friday, the Pretty Little Liars and YOU star breaks the news to her fans on Instagram, posting a stunning image of herself in which she poses topless with her new baby bump.
“Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?” the 32-year-old star writes in the caption.
The Canadian actress has also shared an emotional video discussing her pregnancy journey on her YouTube channel. In the two-minute long montage titled “Guess Who’s Preggers,” Mitchell opens up about her decision to keep her pregnancy a secret for months:
“When you’re in the public eye, there are some things you want to just keep a secret until you feel ready. This for me has been the hardest. This is gonna be really fun and awesome when I’m not trying to hide it anymore.”
From the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscars After Party, to makeup artist Patrick Ta‘s beauty brand launch event, the clip takes viewers back to the early stages of Mitchell’s pregnancy. ”Month’s of hiding… It’s been a really lonely journey,” she reflects in the video.
“I am extremely confident now cause I have my baby growing inside me…. This is real life, and I want people to come along with me on this journey in real time.” With that in mind, Mitchell announces that she will be documenting her ride to motherhood in a new YouTube series called “Almost Ready.”
