In celebration of its “reimagined, redesigned and reconsidered” museum space, New York’s Museum of Modern Art has tapped some of its favorite artists, brands and collaborators to create exclusive pieces for the famous museum. On October 21, the museum is unveiling a series of new galleries as well as spaces for performances, evens and more, which are set out to “broaden our perspectives on the artists and stories of our time.”
“The real value of this expansion is not just more space, but space that allows us to rethink the experience o f art in the Museum,” said Glenn D. Lowry, the David Rockerfeller Diretor of the MoMA, also adding that in addition to the new spaces, the Museum Store will also see a revamp, into a double height store with expanded book offerings, design objects, art reproduction as well as a handful of MoMA exclusives. The exclusives include a coveted collaboration with Champion, which features three limited-edition collegiate hoodies emblazoned with the museum’s branding across the chest, arriving in blue, grey and black iterations.
