Fashion month is upon us, and New York Fashion Week is currently in full swing for the Spring/Summer 2020 season. The runway will see tons of models from supermodel status to fresh faces. The Fall 2019 season saw the biggest jump in racial diversity ever, and with NYFW being on the of the most diverse when it comes to casting, we put together a list of models to keep an eye out for as you browse this year’s shows — take a look at some of our favorites below.

Kerolyn Soares

Kerolyn Soares has been spotted in publications such as British Vogue, Vogue Germany and i-D Magazine. Not only that but she’s currently in Prada and Chanel campaigns and has walked for brands such as Fendi and Acne Studios. The effortlessly cool model can always be spotted with pixie short hair, and this will be her first season in New York.
Licett Morillo Montero

This past year has been huge for Licett. She took her first flight from the Dominican Republic to her first fashion week show, which she closed for Prada’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Since then, she has appeared on the runway for Loewe, JW Anderson, Victoria Beckham and CELINE and covered Dazed as the breakout face of 2018.
Candice Huffine

Candice Huffine isn’t entirely new to the New York Fashion Week runway and the modeling world, but she’s definitely someone on the rise. She has been modeling since she was 15 and made her big break in V Magazine‘s “Curves Ahead” 2010 editorial. She was the first plus-size woman to be featured in the Pirelli Calendar and appeared in Gigi Hadid-directed DNCE music video “Cake by the Ocean.” Outside of modeling, she has her own inclusive activewear line Day Won and founded Project Start, a running initiative that encourages women to lace up.
Alberte Mortensen

Alberte Mortensen is a Danish model that has walked for a few seasons in Europe for designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Saint Laurent and Versace, but this will be her debut stateside. She’s also appeared on the cover to ELLE Denmark.
Shiwei Wen

Shiwei Wen made her runway debut at Alexander Wang’s “COLLECTION 1 2020” runway show earlier this summer. The Chinese model will be making her official fashion week debut this season.
Alannah Walton

Alannah Walton was discovered on Instagram and is one of the highest in-demand models this season. The Australian native has appeared in Vogue Australia, ELLE Australia, Vogue Japan and Grazia and made her runway debut at Victoria’s Secret‘s 2018 fashion show.
Anisha Sandhu

Anisha is a Punjabi-Canadian model. She made her runway debut at Alexander Wang‘s “COLLECTION 1 2020” runway show and has previously shot with Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, but this will be her first actual show season. Outside of modeling, she has a college degree in art history.
Makala Johnson

Last year, Makala was spotted on the runway in shows including Rodarte and Valentino. She’s done a mix of commercial and editorial work from appearing in Zara catalogs to covering Paper.
Sammy Levin

Having recently signed to IMG Models just under a year ago, Sammy is relatively new to the runway. Her off-duty style is very ’90s-inspired, and she’s also the co-founder of an upcoming swim range, Rare Swimwear, which is due to launch in 2020.
Shayna McNeil

Shayna was scouted at a farmer’s market at the age of 13 and has been modeling ever since. The Canadian model appeared in Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2019 campaign and has also walked for Burberry‘s fashion show. Rumor has is that she is beloved by Ricardo Tisci.
Ayobami Okekunle

Ayobami Okekunle has appeared in British Vogue, Vogue Italia and ELLE UK. She is a familiar face on the runway in London, Milan and Paris, walking in shows such as Hermès, Saint Laurent and Y/Project, and now she is going to be making her mark on New York Fashion Week.
Kristin Drab

Instantly recognizable with platinum blond hair, Kristin Drab is definitely a model to keep an eye on. The German model has appeared in Mulberry campaigns and has walked for Dior, KENZO, sacai, Louis Vuitton and more. We saw her last season in New York walking for R13 and Coach, and we expect to see more of her this season.
