United Nations x Pangaia Team Up to Support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
To uphold an initiative that aims to fight inequality, poverty and the climate crisis.
London-based Pangaia has been at the forefront of sustainable fashion through launching zero-waste sneakers and crafting apparel pieces using eco-friendly materials like seaweed fiber. This time around, the brand has teamed up with the United Nations in support of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs, otherwise known as Global Goals, were adopted by the UN’s member states as an attempt to fight inequality, tackle the climate crisis and eradicate poverty by 2030. Since its inception, Pangaia has been influenced by these goals, which span from reducing inequality to consuming and producing responsibly.
A collaboration that also celebrates the UN’s 75th anniversary, the duo has created a hoodie and tee that highlights each of the SDGs. Both arriving in an off-white shade, the items are emblazoned with a list of the goals in a rainbow palette. Made with environmentally-friendly dyes and water-based inks, the capsule uses 100-percent GOTS-certified organic cotton, which is chemical-free and grown without harmful pesticides and fertilizers.
