Heaven by Marc Jacobs' FW21 Collection Is an Ode to Teenage Daydreams
Featuring nostalgic designs inspired by the 1999 film ‘The Virgin Suicides.’
For its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Heaven by Marc Jacobs has taken inspiration from the 1999 Paramount Pictures film, The Virgin Suicides, which explores the mysteries of adolescence, passion and the loss of innocence.
The unisex line is comprised of essential ’90s silhouettes including tees, skirts, hoodies and jackets dressed in graphics from the classic movie. In accessories, silver jewelry, E.T.-themed bags and homeware can be found in the range. The brand has also tapped contemporary artists Katherine Bernhardt, Nathalie Nguyen of Happy.99, ANCCO, Julian Consuegra of Stray Rats, Cynthia Lu of Cactus Plant Flea Market, Elliot Shields and Chris Cadaver to design select offerings.
Additionally, in honor of World Mental Health Day (October 10), the collection comes with a Just Like Life Baby Tee featuring motifs from The Virgin Suicides. For every shirt sold, $18 USD will be donated to The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, an organization dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
