Marc Jacobs Released a Star-Studded Micro-Drama for its Fall Campaign
Featuring Jemima Kirke and Rowan Blanchard
If you love a little bit of fashion drama, Marc Jacobs just served up your next obsession. The brand unveiled The Swap, an episodic micro-drama starring actors Rowan Blanchard and Jemima Kirke (plus a cheeky cameo from Jeremy O. Harris).
Kicking off the next chapter of the brand’s Question Marc storytelling series, the plot unfolds right after a Marc Jacobs runway show when Blanchard and Kirke accidentally swap their signature Scene Bags. What follows is a wild, citywide New York mystery as both women dive into each other’s personal belongings, turning a simple mix-up into a game of identity and perception.
“A woman doesn’t carry her entire life in her bag, only the things she needs on the off chance that something happens. Just in case she falls into a hole, feels inspired or meets the love of her life,” Kirke shared. “And for a New York woman, ‘just in case’ is a regular occurrence.”
Fun, character-driven and delightfully chaotic, the campaign proves that a great handbag is always the ultimate plot catalyst. Additional episodes of The Swap will debut throughout the Fall season, continuing the story across social platforms. Head to the brand’s website to shop the pieces.
