Rumor Has It the Air Jordan 3 "Fire Red" Returns Next Year
The colorway’s first retro since 2013.
Few Air Jordan silhouettes are as beloved as the Jordan 3. Released in 1988, the AJ3 was famously worn when Michael Jordan won the 1988 Slam Dunk contest and was further cemented into pop culture thanks to the shoe’s marketing campaign starring Spike Lee.
The Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” has been retro-ed in 2007 and 2013. Those models were not viewed as truly authentic, however, as they featured Jumpman logos at the heel as opposed to the OG Nike Air branding. According to reports, this iteration will be true to the original with Nike Air branding, an element sure to excite collectors.
