BRIT Awards Unveils Gender-Neutral Nominations for 2022
Adele leads with four nominations, followed by Ed Sheeran.
The BRIT Awards has unveiled its full list of nominations for 2022. As announced last month, the upcoming awards is gender-neutral, having scrapped its usual female and male categories.
“It is important that The BRITs continue to evolve and aim to be as inclusive as possible. It feels completely the right time to celebrate the achievements of artists for the music that they create, and the work that they do, irrespective of gender,” BRITs chair Tom March shared in a statement.
The list is led by Adele, who finally dropped her studio album 30 this year. The musician is in the running for the Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop/R&B categories. Other standouts include Billie Eilish and Doja Cat, each nominated for Best International Artist, as well as Griff and Joy Crookes for Best New Artist.
See the full list of nominations of 2022 BRIT Awards nominations below. Winners will be revealed on February 8, 2022 at the O2 Arena in London.
