Watch Lil Nas X's Reaction After His Pants Ripped on 'Saturday Night Live'

“I know I do a lot of planned sh*t but ripping my pants on live television is not one of them.”

This weekend, Lil Nas X took the stage on Saturday Night Live to perform his latest hit “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name).” One of the biggest highlights of the show was not only his steamy dance moves, but also the musician’s pants that ripped on stage.

The Grammy-winning star appeared in a fiery leather fit alongside dancers dressed in the same theme. Towards the end of the performance, Lil Nas X heads to the pole at the back of the stage, where his pants rip down the crotch. The artist quickly covers himself as he finishes the live show.

“At first, I was afraid to even perform. Then we rehearsed for two weeks, then all of the dancers got removed because one had COVID-19 and new ones had to learn the routine in 24 hours, and then I ended up ripping my pants and couldn’t finish. Everything happens for a reason though, lol,” the singer tweeted after his performance. He added: “I know I do a lot of planned sh*t but ripping my pants on live television is not one of them.” On TikTok, he shared his very own reaction to the video captioned: “My pants really ripped on live television last night.”
