UPDATE (October 12, 2021): A month ago, JJJJound and New Balance announced their second collaborative silhouette: the 990v4. Now, the duo has unveiled official images of the sneaker, which is set to drop sooner than you think.

The latest iteration of the NB classic features a tonal nubuck and mesh construction dressed in navy hues. Meanwhile, hits of black are found on the lacing system, tongue and collar. For a sleek look, subtle 3M details and reflective elastic laces have been added, while the custom logo toggles provide enhanced functionality.

Priced at $260 USD, the JJJJound x New Balance 990v4 will release on October 14 via JJJJound’s web store. A global release will follow on October 21 on New Balance’s website.

ORIGINAL STORY (August 31, 2021): Following up on their M992 that dropped in 2020, JJJJound and New Balance have teamed up once again to rework the 990v4 shoe.

Teased via Instagram, the anticipated kicks arrive in a tonal navy look. The sneaker is constructed with a mesh base on the upper, which is accompanied by suede overlays throughout. Hits of black are added to the shoelaces, tongue and collar, while the “N” branding takes center stage on the laterals. The design is complete with JJJJound’s logo printed on the footbed.

The two brands have yet to announce an official release date, but the JJJJound x New Balance 990v4 is set to launch during the Fall/Winter 2021 season.
