Ronnie Fieg and New Balance Celebrate Kith's 15th Anniversary With a New Sneaker
Introducing the 2011.
Kith is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and to mark nearly two decades of style, collaboration and innovation, including a long-standing partnership with New Balance, founder Ronnie Fieg is introducing an original sneaker silhouette: the 2011.
While Fieg and New Balance have reworked more than thirty archive models over the years, the 2011 marks a massive milestone as the very first original silhouette designed completely by Fieg. Two years in the making, the modern yet retro-inspired running model was developed alongside New Balance designer Sam Pearce. The sneaker pairs a multi-panel upper paired with the classic ABZORB tooling borrowed from the original New Balance 2002, with its name paying homage to the year Kith was born.
Arriving in four nature-inspired colorways — Bark, Redwood, Leaf and Sakura — each pair is its own representation of the brand’s growth. The Bark and Redwood iterations feature tree ring-inspired topstitching, while Leaf and Sakura opt for a sportier, color-blocked mix and pigskin suede.
The sneakers drop alongside a dual-branded apparel collection filled with technical jackets, shorts and jerseys. For those in Los Angeles, the full collection and all four colorways debuted early on June 26 at the brand-new collaborative “New Balance at Kith” shop inside Kith West Hollywood, where Bark and Redwood remain location exclusives.
For the rest of the world, the Leaf and Sakura colorways, along with the full apparel range, are available to purchase now on the Kith website and select retailers.
