Dua Lipa Says Her Upcoming Album Isn't What "Fans Want to Hear"
The singer’s new music is different than ‘Future Nostalgia.’
Dua Lipa is working on her third album, and her new sound may come as a surprise to fans. Though LP3 is still in the early stages or as Lipa describes it — “in baby form” — so far, it’s totally different from her previous music.
“It has a vision,” she told The Wall Street Journal. “It has a name, I think — for now. It’s just been fun experimenting. I’m always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from Future Nostalgia.”
Evidently, the pop star feels compelled to keep it real with listeners. She added, “In all honesty, it’s probably not what my fans want to hear.”
While it still remains unknown when Lipa is dropping her third studio album, fans can at least catch her performing live soon. The musician is embarking on a world tour in support of Future Nostalgia, kicking off in February. See some of the tour dates below.
