Fez From 'Euphoria' Originally Had a Much More Tragic Fate
Angus Cloud reveals what was supposed to happen to his character.
Euphoria is full of surprises, and the way Fez was supposed to play out on the show may come to one as fans. According to Angus Cloud, who plays the iconic character on the HBO Max series, creator Sam Levinson originally intended to kill off his character in Season 1.
“I don’t know, but apparently because they cast me off the street, I guess the character of Fezco was [never meant to stick around],” he recently told GQ. “I don’t even know how. I never saw that script. No one ever told me.”
It was actually Jacob Elordi (Nate) who filled him in. “It was one day when we were filming the pilot that I think Jacob told me, he was like, ‘Oh yeah, you didn’t know? Your character gets [imitates brains getting blown out],’” Cloud added.
Cloud doesn’t know details of what was originally supposed to happen to Fez, however, he believes his portrayal of the character kept him around. “I think that they liked what I did, and so they decided to keep me alive and let me rock,” he said. “I don’t know how I was going out, but hopefully I would’ve gone out like a G.”
