Rita Ora Is Hosting This Year's MTV EMA Awards
Alongside writer, actor and husband Taika Waititi.
The 2022 MTV EMA Awards are set to be hosted by global superstar Rita Ora and GRAMMY Award-winning writer, actor and director Taika Waititi.
“We’re excited to host this year’s MTV EMAs and celebrate the best musicians and performances from around the world,” the duo shared in a press release. “We look forward to sharing the evening with all of these talented artists.”
“I’m thrilled to be back hosting, and sharing the stage with Taika makes it all the more special. We’ve got it all at this year’s EMAs, fun surprises, fantastic fashion, comedy, and above all amazing music! We can’t wait for audiences to share these moments with us,” added Ora.
Sharing their enthusiasm is Paramount+ Music CEO Bruce Gillmer, who said that, “Rita Ora is a long-time MTV/EMA favourite and together with the multi-talented Taika Waititi, we’re absolutely certain this powerhouse duo will set the stage for one electrifying night of global music celebration.”
Taking place in Dusseldorf, the evening will play host to numerous music artists and talents from all over Europe, alongside performances and special awards. This year’s ceremony also includes the addition of two new categories, including “Best Metaverse Performance” and “Best Longform Video.”
The 2022 MTV EMA Awards will take place on November 13 in Germany. In the meantime, check out the full list of this year’s nominees.
