Actor Leslie Jordan Dies at Age 67 After Car Accident

The actor was known for his roles in ‘Will & Grace,’ ‘American Horror Story’ and many more.

Leslie Jordan, known for his roles in Will & Grace, American Horror Story, The Help and more, has died at age 67, as confirmed by Variety. The actor suffered a car accident while driving, crashing into a building at Cahuenga Blvd. and Romaine St. possibly due to a medical emergency.

Jordan’s filmography also includes Hearts AfireThe Cool Kids and Call Me Kat, while he won an Emmy Award in 2006 for guest actor in a comedy series for his role in Will & Grace where he played Karen’s sexually ambiguous friend, Beverly Leslie. He was one of the main stars in American Horror Story, where he played more than one character across three seasons.

The actor was also an LGBTQ+ icon, having received GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics’ Timeless Star award in 2021. In addition to his film work, he recently appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race and was also active on social media throughout the pandemic, gaining millions of followers on Instagram.

Jordan’s agent David Shaul shared in a statement, “The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan. Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times.” He added, “What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”
