Everything Aries Touches Turns to Gold, Including This XOUXOU Phone Case
Marking the Berlin-based brand’s first venture into high-fashion streetwear.
London-based streetwear label Aries has joined forces with Berlin-based fashion tech label XOUXOU for an eclectic range of phone cases and accessories.
Marking XOUXOU’s first foray into the high-fashion streetwear game, the collaboration also sees Aries venture into tech accessories for the first time, so all around, it’s a pretty big deal. Utilizing the London label’s edgy ’90s aesthetic and fusing it with XOUXOU’s high-quality, functional design, the result is a durable iPhone case covered in a vibrant green snake print and stamped with 18-karat gold.
Finished with a co-branded insignia logo, the phone case boasts a detachable woven rope and oversized carabiner, both of which also arrive in a swanky gold, rounded off with a chunky chain. The phone case is available in styles compatible with iPhones 12, 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max.
Adding to the striking collab is a 100% silk scarf, aiming to bring the collaboration’s inspiration to light. Offering a fashion-forward way to showcase Aries’ Ancient Greek symbolism, the scarf features black magic motifs and arrives in hues of green and gold.
“Once I worked out I could put my credit cards onto my phone, I realised I’d never need a bag again. The phone is the new bag,” says Aries Founder Sofia Prantera of the collection. XOUXOU’s Founder, Yara Jentzsch Dib, adds that “We loved working with Sofia, Nicki and the whole team at Aries. This collaboration signifies a new design direction and a more playful attitude which offers a lot of possibilities. We feel that Aries and XOUXOU share the same sense of positivity and lightheartedness, a non- conformist and youthful spirit, and an aspiration for casual yet high-quality fashion.”
