Festival-Goers Gravitate Towards Minimalism and Comfort for Coachella 2022

From effortless matching sets to statement accessories.

After a three-year hiatus, Coachella has finally returned to Palm Springs kicking off the 2022 festival season with a bang. Weekend one saw unforgettable performances by Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, as well as a 2NE1 reunion.

Of course, fashion is another major highlight at the annual music and arts festival. Celebrities and influencers showed up in their best fits stunning in this season’s hottest trends, while other festival-goers opted for minimal numbers — a style decision possibly impacted by COVID-19. NIKI was spotted in a matching tie-dye set featuring a collared halter V-neck top and pants. The 88rising star completed her look with a pair of white Converse Run Star Hikes and black shades. Meanwhile, content creator Elena Taber hopped on the sheer trend with her see-through snake-patterned olive green mini dress.

The New Balance 550 made an appearance on the grounds of the Empire Polo Club, which was paired with a dark gray mini skirt and a basic white tank top. Patterns also took over a number of styles along with monochromatic color palettes. In accessories, convenient fanny packs and cross-body silhouettes reigned supreme, allowing guests to roam around the venue with ease.

Take a closer look at some of the coziest styles from weekend one of Coachella 2022.
