What Happens When You Call Surfer Boy Pizza's Number From 'Stranger Things'?
“Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle speaking.”
The Season 4 finale of Stranger Things aired on July 1 and fans have since discovered something pretty spectacular about Surfer Boy Pizza after watching the final episode.
During one of the episode’s more pivotal scenes, Argyle (aka the loveable best friend of Jonathan) is seen driving his pizza delivery van across town in a desperate attempt to help save Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown.) While Surfer Boy Pizza may not be real, a number of fans noticed a phone number plastered across the van and couldn’t help but give it a call.
It appears that Netflix may have had an inkling that fans would see the number and be tempted, so they arranged for a special voice to answer the phone. When you dial the number, the voice of Argyle answers the phone with a pre-recorded message that begins “Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle speaking. We make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy, except for our pineapple, which comes from a can, but I still recommend slapping some juicy pineapple on. Oh, fruit on your pizza is gnarly, you say? Well, I say try before you deny.”
As expected, viewers of the show were pleasantly surprised to find out that the number is not only real, but actually results in a familiar voice on the other end. Though the Netflix series came to a relatively haunting end, we hope to see plenty more from Argyle in the final season.
